A Farmer’s Life for Me
Okay, we know that farming isn’t quite as idyllic and as fun as this slot machine from Eyecon makes out, but let us just indulge for a while as we discuss the overall aesthetic of the title.
This activity is very My Little Pony with the colours and illustrative stylings of the characters making an appearance here; everything has a very innocent and cutesy feel to it, but without being overly feminine. It is impossible not to smile when Rich Pickins starts and the jolly looking farmer in his straw hat takes his position next to the reels, with geese flying across the screen, and trees filled with apples and money lurking in the background. Even the grass is swaying in the breeze.
Moving onto the individual icons of the title, there are quite a few to familiarise yourselves with, such as the wooden baskets of twinkling fruits, filled with bananas, apples and oranges. They look so tasty but don’t try and bite ‘em – think of your teeth! Jewelled fruit and your dental hygiene just don’t mix well. If a couple of these cases show up on your grid the fruit will jump into the baskets underneath the reels, but get three and a bonus round will begin. In this mini level you need to drive along to the farmer’s market and so you need to select the best route to do so.
There is also the golden apple that can trigger yet another bonus level, this time involving three shiny coins, all of which do different things. One will give you a big amount of cash, the next will see a giant bear shaking a tree to release prizes for the farmer to collect, and finally there is the last coin which rewards you a seed that grows into a beanstalk – the taller it gets the better your cash flow.
Farming Doesn’t Come Cheap
Traditionally you would play this game with all of the paylines, but you can reduce the number as much as you like all the way down to 1, though it’ll be a lot less thrilling and we doubt that farmer will help you get those bonuses if the lines are limited. There is an up and down arrow that selects the lines, keeping it nice and simple.The bet configuration settings are equally just as user friendly, with them starting from 0.01 and increasing up to 2.00 credits per line, which means your max bet is 40.00. Even then that sum of money isn’t too steep considering the quality of the game, and the great jackpot waiting at the end of it.
Users will also note that there is an Autoplay option to the right hand size that will let you select between 1 and 10 instant spins.
