Slot-O-Pol Deluxe Slots
Having been around for many years now, it’s no surprise that Mega Jack are seen as the king of classic slots, both in the offline and online scene - they were churning out content long before a lot of the big names now. And while they may not be as well known among younger users, seasoned slot players hold a torch for this brand.
Out of all of their games, Slot-O-Pol has been among the most popular, so much so that Slot-O-Pol Deluxe was made to improve on their already impressive retro 5-reels slot machine. In truth, not a lot has changed when compared with the original, but if you’re an avid fan of all things retro or Mega Jack or maybe both, then this is a game you need to try out.
If this feels like unknown territory for you, fear not for we’re here to give a concise yet brief guide into how to play this game. Vintage slot machines don’t tend to differ that much from contemporary ones, and a lot of the time they tend to have more extensive pay outs because they’re not relying on their fancy aesthetics. But still, the help is here if you need it.
Pay Up
So you’ve probably noticed by now that there’s a hefty jackpot to be had, possibly up to 31,000 credits should you get the maximum amount of matches of the scatter and wild symbols. If that doesn’t happen though, you can still make a substantial amount of money thanks to the bonuses and multipliers up for grabs.
Paying to enjoy this title is a lot easier than with the other slot machines, mainly because the control panel has been enhanced and refined since the first game. It still looks much the same, but everything has been sharpened up and labelled more clearly; the Bet widget has a red strip upon it and the Line a black one.
The betting range begins at 1 credit, which seems to be quite normal for Mega Jack, although other titles from them have had lower thresholds. Nonetheless, 1 credit on all the pay lines you’re playing with will make up a low but reasonable final stake to bet with. If however, you like the allure of danger and see yourself as a brave soul, you can increase your bet up to 40 credits on the lines.
Now you don’t have to be good at maths to figure out the amount you're playing with, mainly because the game saves you the trouble and informs you - you’d be betting a whopping 840 credits! Players can always reduce either the coins they play with or the win lines they have triggered.
Should foolhardy charging in without fear of the risk sound like you down to a T, then you’re going to get very excited when you learn that Slot-O-Pol Deluxe has a Double toggle. This will light up when the option is available and will launch a card guessing game, where you need to select from one of the hidden cards. To win a double you have to get a card of a higher value.
Updated Pay Table
Not a lot has changed with the pay table, even the prizes seem to be the same amounts, but that doesn’t mean we should overlook any of them. Out of all the icons the wild is the most generous of the tiles, and it removes other symbols to make a combination win. What we need to comment on here is that the amount you stand to win will increase should your bet be high.
Once again the Spin the Wheel Bonus is back, as is the Slot-O-Pol Bonus, which means this section of the slot machine will probably feel way too familiar. To activate both of them you need to get a certain number of the corresponding icons; with the wheel logo you need just three, whereas the dice icon requires the full five tiles.
New and Improved, or Down and Out?
We’re probably going to annoy a lot of old school gamers here, but Slot-O-Pol Deluxe didn’t really need to be made. It doesn’t change up the original format much, with only the bet configuration appearing to have altered. It’s great to be able to up the ante and experience a more intense play through, but no amount of alterations can make Slot-O-Pol Deluxe any better.
When it was first released it was a revelation, but now it struggles to stand out when compared with other titles, even seasoned ones like itself.
