Double Trouble Slots
This is gaming nostalgia at its best. There is the funky bubble writing and the exotic girls with guns, of course it is a parody of the ever outrageous Austin Powers – but takes the pastiche to a whole new level. This is a fun game with a fun attitude – even though there are a few gun toting females – it is all in the name of adventure, right?
This game is powered by BetOnSoft (Saucify) and has a 45,000 fixed jackpot, so no chance of a progressive super jackpot, but great fun none the less! Rendered in HD this game has all the features you expect from a classic video slot, with multipliers, frees spins, wild symbol, scatter symbol and more.
Double Talent in Design
The graphics are pretty awesome-tastic baby, with images of Agent Vanity Love and Agent Foxy Groovewell gun wielding super spies aimed to bring down Evil Newton and Ming Phat. There is nothing subtle about this slot – but then neither would we want there to be.
On Double Trouble there is a 5 reel 9 pay line slot. Vanity provides us with our wild symbol and Foxy is our free spin symbol. So, you are always glad when the good guys turn up on the scene.
There are symbols for the bad guys, along with all the agent equipment: the car, the handbag – and, of course, the lipstick. The rest of the symbols are made of numerals, which bring the normal progression of winnings for matching 3, 4, 5 or five on a winning payline.
What’s the Bet?
You can place five coins on each line – with denominations of one, five, 10 and 25. So the highest bet would be 125 coins on every line! Remember the best way of winning the jackpot is to place the maximum bet on the maximum number of lines – but this is a high stakes spin of the reel – so you have to balance up risk against reward!
Vanity can replace any symbol but the scatter symbol – and she can double your prize – so keep an eye out for her. All wins pay left to right – unless there is a scatter symbol and Foxy turns up with her offer of a free spin – which can appear anywhere on the reels. There are some pretty cool bonuses on offer – if Foxy turns up three times in a spin you unleash the free spin feature and any win during this time is tripled – and get three Foxy symbols again and it is retriggered. If you get both super spies together – you win 800 coins straight out. Sounds tough to follow – but is actually a lot easier to pick up then a lot of video slots you can play.
All you need to remember is that Vanity is your top earning symbol and doubles anything on the screen. Keeping your eye out for Vanity is a sure way of piling in the coins!
Bonus Game
There is an added bonus of a gamble feature. When this pops up you get to select which suit or colour will turn up next – this gives you a chance of multiplying your winnings by up to four times your initial bet.
Great Detail…
What is so lovable about the game though is its retro feel and that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. The women have all the glamour of the 60s Bond girls with none of the sexism. These are sassy women with a good strike of attitude. They are cartoon graphics, with oversized heads, which means the body is not the focus. The image of the girls with the Cadillac is particularly cool. The spy equipment is fun – not too serious – with the lipstick and the handbag being the closest thing to cringe-tasticness. But, take it all with a pinch of salt and just enjoy the fun in the idea and that nothing is meant to be taken too literally.
The bad guys are suitably outrageous, exactly what you want from a parody of an Austin Powers film. Oversized, black suited super villains with an evil glare. The slightly dizzy 60s wallpaper reel back drop can be a little startling to the eye after a while – so the occasional move away from the computer screen does help. But, the use of the old style TV for the casing of the slot is a clever feature and an attention to detail that you come to expect from the Saucify stable!
The background sings out with UK and US symbols and this is a clear shout out to their target audience.
