Deep Blue Slots

Delve into the Deep Blue with this wet and wonderful slot machine by Magnet Gaming. On the surface, this game looks like your average themed 3-reel slot with its simple cartoon symbols but if you dive below the water you will discover that this game doesn't work like most normal classic slot machines. What's more, this aquatic game gives players the chance to play a variety of interesting bonus features during which they might be able to locate some humongous jackpot prizes lurking in the deep blue abyss.

Explore the Deep

It is safe to say that there is no shortage of sea-based slot machines out there on the internet. However, none of those other games will quite provide the same gameplay action as this Magnet Gaming slot machine. To look at, the game is fairly standard with a series of cartoon style icons depicting a variety of underwater critters such as a sea anemone, a crab, a pearl clam, a puffer fish and a mean looking razor toothed fish while other symbols show a ship's captain, a diving bell helmet and a golden treasure hoard. As you would expect, the game is filled with colour and eye-catching animations as well as some nice bubbly sound effects to give players the impression that they are exploring the deep blue sea. You might even hear some relaxing whale song to help you keep your nerve as the action unfolds!

No Paylines in Play

When it comes to playing this 3-reel slot machine, players might have to get their heads around some different game features. The main thing to take note of is the fact that there aren't really any paylines involved like your average slot machine. Instead, winning combinations are achieved by finding three or more matching symbols next to each other in adjacent patterns going horizontally and vertically. So, if three of the same symbol appear and they are all connected by touching sides, then they will constitute as a winning sequence. Symbols can't form patterns through diagonal connections.

What's more, should a winning pattern of icons appear, they will disappear to allow more symbols to float up from the depths below. And every time that this happens, a multiplier will rise in value up to a maximum potential of 5x.

A Different Way to Win

The minimum bet available for one spin of the reels is 0.40 credits while the biggest possible wager is capped at 9.60. Each symbol in a match will pay a set prize amount depending on the size of the wager. Below, players can see how much each symbol is worth in relation to the total bet size, but bear in mind that a winning pattern of three icons will pay 3x that amount while four will pay 4x and so on.

Plenty of Bonus Action

There are three separate side games involved in this Deep Blue slot machine and they can be activated in a variety of ways. The most simple way to trigger each bonus round would be to find free matching symbols on the reels which constitute to the specific bonus element, but players can also have a shot at opening a special feature by finding three adjacent “hexapus” symbols to play the “Game Flash” bonus which will award either a random prize or a ticket to another bonus game.

In no particular order, the first of these bonus games is the “Sonar Game”, during which players will be able to use the special sonar device that sits on the left hand side of the reel. 15 free spins will be awarded and the sonar screen will show a boat and some bonus prize symbols. You will also notice that some of the symbols on the main reels have arrow icons, and whenever such symbols appear in the middle horizontal line of the grid, the boat will move accordingly to collect the prizes and avoid obstacles.

Then there is “Sunken Ship”, a side game which gives players a chance to play a board game with more random prizes while “Treasure Map” offers some similar board game style action but with bigger bounty prizes and a chance to win the super progressive jackpot.

Simple Spins with Endless Entertainment

Deep Blue might look like just another underwater themed slot machine, and it might not instantly appeal to many video slot players with its 3-reel set-up and cartoon graphics. However, the truth is that this slot machine provides some very entertaining spins with unique gameplay features and the chance to win two progressive jackpots. And for that reason, it is definitely worth diving into the action.
