League of Dragons Slot Machine
Anything with dragons in is a win-win situation for the vast majority of us - what’s not to like? They can be badass and cute all in one go, and they pack a mean punch regardless of the style a developer opts for. Add to that that they suit almost every type of genre and you’re onto a winner whenever they’re involved; no wonder Nektan created League of Dragons.
Since Game of Thrones, everyone has been more obsessed with these great beasts, but it’s unlikely you’ve ever come across any like these. Rivals on the battlefield and in this game, two dragons grab the spotlight and take you on a rollercoaster ride that is as much about skill as luck.
That’s right, this fixed 25-payline and 5-reel activity has a bonus level that challenges you and your reflexes: if you play better you win more, which is something not many slots incorporate.
In the Blue Corner
Seeing as these dragons are in a battle of some sorts, there is a red team and a blue team at work here, rather fittingly, and both of them do different things. On either side of the reels you will see a dragon, sometimes under an intense spotlight and other times in shadow. Above them are bars which needs filling: on the right there is the red symbol and bar, and to the left the blue.
To fill up the blue bar you need to get 10 symbols on the first reel during your playthrough, which sounds easy as it doesn’t have to be all at once, but is actually difficult as you have to land the symbols just right. Anywhere else doesn’t count. This feature will earn you some free spins and a random multiplier, which can increase up to x5.
In the Red Corner
Across from there is the red icon; in a similar vein to the blue, you need to get 10 of these symbols on a certain reel, in this case it’s the fifth one. When that happens you will once again trigger a series of extra spins, however this time there are wilds involved and not multipliers. If wilds show up during this time, they become sticky and will remain in place until the round is complete.
Slippery Snake
Even though the game is all about dragons, there’s a snake involved in the bonus round. When you get three or more bonus symbols (the game’s logo), a modern version of a mobile classic called Snake will begin.
The aim of the game is very simple: hit all the targets within the time slot given, but watch out that you don’t hit yourself or one of the many walls. Considering the snake grows in length over the duration of the time, you soon end up struggling to miss the slippery customer by millimetres.
Oh Great Dragons
For saying you have a low starting bet of 0.25 credits, you get a lot of game for the price. Not only are there the features, but the tiles themselves have great monetary value attached to them (provided you get matches of five). If you get the five specialist tiles (the ones that are designed like the game), you can be hitting the 1,000 credits mark!
Should you be unsure of what the tiles add up to when playing, but don’t want to open up the paytables tab, just hover over the symbols upon the grid and they’ll tell you the various payouts.
All users have to remember that while the money can be good, it does depend upon your stake, meaning if you place a low bet your returns will be much lower than those listed here. So if you only wager 1 credit, you’ll be looking at the max payout of 5 credits.
A Legendary League
This slot machine from Nektan has many fine details, helping it to feel like more than a simple slot activity. Its graphics aren’t the best in the business, by they are specific to the brand and therefore make the title recognisable. The only issue some gamers may have is that they have to push the boat out if they want to win big, which evidently comes with more risks; some titles have big payouts regardless of your bet, but this isn’t one of them.
