Champion of the Track Slots
Designed to look like and feel like a board game, Net Entertainment's Champion of the Track combines the majesty of horseracing with the thrill of slots into one enjoyable game. It has three fun bonus features that greatly increase your winnings, including a separate bonus game where you get to actually race a horse against three others.
Champion of the Track makes you a winner on your favorite computer platform including Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
Theme
Leave it to the creative team at NetENT to successfully meld the outdoor sport of horseracing with a board game design. The green background looks like a race track covered in board game symbols, complete with game pieces, dice, cards and a score-keeping notepad.
The light background sounds reflect what you'd actually hear on an afternoon at the racetrack, including crowds chatting, horses sniffing and pawing at the grass. When you land a winning payline, a trumpet proclaims your win and sometimes it's punctuated by a horse's whinny.
Jockeys represent the four lower-value symbols and in descending order are the blue number 9, a red number 7, a green number 5 and a yellow number 4. As for the higher-value set of symbols, they begin on the low end with a pair of binoculars. Next in value is a stopwatch, then a pair of horseshoes and finally, your highest-scoring symbol is a blue ribbon marked with the number 2. Even the paytable is creatively designed to look like a brochure you'd receive at the horsetrack, or possibly the instructional insert of a board game.
Features
Champion of the Track is rich with features that make it easy to rack up serious wins. First, there's an ordinary Wild symbol-a smiling jockey surrounded by a laurel wreath-that substitutes for all other symbols except the Scatter and Bonus.
The unique Career Bonus enables you to advance 20 steps along the track at the edge of the reels toward a coin bonus of 97,000 coins. The more you bet, the more you can win, and the game actually saves your position on the Career Track for 48 hours after your last spin.
Free Spins are activated by landing three or more Scatter symbols anywhere across the reels. The Scatter is represented by a brown horse in a yellow mask surrounded by a wreath of leaves. Once you see three of these, you're awarded ten spins with a 2X multiplier. After the Free Spins start rolling, you'll see your horse running in a small video screen below the reels. Each time you land another Scatter, you overtake another horse and score one horseshoe. If you earn five horseshoes, you'll earn ten more Free Spins and move one square along the Career Track.
Bonus
The separate Bonus Game is triggered by landing three of the golden trophy Bonus symbols in succession on an active payline. Once inside the game, you choose one of four jockeys to represent you in a race that begins immediately. Upon crossing the finish line, you'll win a cash prize determined by how well your horse performed in the race. You could win up to four moves along the Career Track and a healthy 5X multiplier.
Limits
Four bet levels combine with coin values that range from 0.01 to 0.50, and you can bet on up to 30 bet lines per spin. The minimum you can bet per spin is 0.30 which is perfect for low limit slots players while the maximum total bet on one spin is 60.00. The maximum win in Champion of the Track is 48,532 and 97,000 is the maximum number of coins you can win at once.
Play
With the standard Net Entertainment control panel, you know it will be easy to keep up with all your current numbers including your bet level, current bet, coins and coin value. The buttons are all clearly marked for easy play, and the reels flow quickly and easily. If you prefer to have the game play on its own, just click on the "auto" button and activate the advanced settings. This makes it easy for you to sit back and observe the fun while also having the power to stop the game at whatever time you wish. Program it to pause at Free Spins, at a certain value of wins or losses, or when you enter the separate Bonus Game.
Compatibility
You can trust that Champion of the Track is totally compatible with your any desktop or laptop computer powered by a Windows, Mac, or Linux operating system, and it is a web-based software, so you can play right from your desktop with no download necessary.
