A first for boxing
Amanda Serrano is the first professional boxer to exclusively partner with FanDuel. Serrano, a seven-division boxing champion, is fighting Ireland’s Katie Taylor on April 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. FanDuel’s logo will be on Serrano’s trunks during what is being billed as the biggest fight in women’s professional boxing history. The 33-year-old tweeted about the new deal:
Also as part of the agreement announced on Thursday, Serrano will make appearances on FanDuel partner programs and participate in social content. FanDuel will be able to use Serrano’s likeness and name in its advertising. Custom promotions will be available in advance of the title fight.
Supporting female athletes
In the press release announcing her partnership with FanDuel, Serrano recognized the responsibility she has in promoting women’s sports. The Puerto Rican boxer said she is honored to wear the FanDuel logo during her fight against Katie Taylor, saying that the betting operator is “showing their unwavering dedication to supporting and elevating female athletes.”

The fight between Taylor and Serrano will be the first time that female professional boxers will headline a card at Madison Square Garden.
FanDuel Group CEO Amy Howe spoke about the operator’s pride in partnering with Serrano and underlined that FanDuel is committed to supporting female athletes across a range of sports.
The slight favorite
The FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Serrano priced as the slight favorite to win the title fight. Katie Taylor is a formidable opponent; she won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics and is undefeated in 20 fights as a professional.
Serrano joins an illustrious list of athletes and former athletes who have a partnership with FanDuel, which is one of the biggest sports betting operators in the US. It has a significant market share in most states where it operates. Some of the talent that currently works with FanDuel includes Jordan Spieth, Pat McAfee, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith. It also has numerous partnerships with media companies, including Bleacher Report, Turner Sports, and Audacy.
