We’re less than a week into PokerStars’ biggest online tournament series of the season and it already has a heck of final table. Thursday’s conclusion of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event #21-H: $3,150 7-Max High Roller No-Limit Hold’em has about as tough of an online lineup at it gets.
Lex Veldhuis and Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet headline the final table, which starts at 17:30 UTC. These big names are joined by online crushers “GaryT,” “simon1471,” and “Ebaaa11” as well as online mega-crusher Joao “Naza114” Vieira. “ContraSpemSper0” rounds out the final seven.
Veldhuis comes to the final table with a substantial lead over his opponents. His stack of 7.1 million chips is more than three times Naza114’s second-place stack of 2.1 million. However, because the smallest stack is 729k, the competition for second place is pretty tight, and it takes just one or two hands for Veldhuis to fall back to the pack.
Nobody will be badly short stacked to begin Thursday’s action. Blinds will start at 17.5k/35k which means that even the smallest stack has about 21 big blinds and room to play some real poker.
With both Veldhuis and Van Fleet at the table, anyone wanting to follow the action live can do so by loading up either of these two players’ Twitch accounts as they stream their runs at the final table.
Those who want the non-delayed (but cards-down) experience can also watch the final table play out on the PokerStars international client wherever that client is available.
