Space Traders takes place beyond the limits of our atmosphere, into outer space.
The background of the game shows the vastness of space, with distant stars glowing faintly. A large planet shines brightly in the lower part of the screen, with a crater-covered moon orbiting around it. The whole game gives of a cartoonish sci-fi atmosphere that is both well executed and quite adorable.
The sound effects evoke laser beams and powerful star ships as well, creating a coherent and fun universe for players. The overall result is a high-quality 3D game with convincing animations and a lot of action taking place on the screen. A good first impression, undeniably, but let’s look at little closer at the gameplay to find out more about the rules of the game.
How to Play
Space Traders introduces an innovative gameplay that will shake off your idea of what a slot game should look like. Be prepared for some innovations!
First of all, no need to look for paylines, as the game does not have any. Instead, the 3x9 grid is made up of nine individual spinning reels. You will score rewards based on the number of identical symbols that appear on screen simultaneously once the reels have come to a final stop. Your winnings are then automatically added to your credit total. The rewards depend on both the nature of the symbols and your initial bet; use the yellow Bet button to determine how much money you want to bet on the next spin, while keeping in mind that taking a higher risk also means increasing the size of your potential future rewards! Feel free to adjust your settings as frequently as you wish to. Once you feel ready, hit the green Spin button located on the right-hand side of the screen, and cross your fingers!
Before each turn, Sam the animated robot will display a reel symbol, which will become the Lucky Symbol for the turn. Should one of more of this symbol appear, they will be locked on the reels and a re-spin will occur automatically. This will give you an extra chance at scoring some new winning combinations, and re-spins will keep going on and on until no more Lucky Symbols appear. This original gameplay is one of the strength of Space Traders, and while it might take some getting used to at first, once you are used to it you will see the many possibilities that it can yield!

All of the icons of the game are original artefacts from the Space Traders universe. You will meet Queen Bea, the clever and adventurous space explorer who makes a living from finding and selling rare pieces of space technology. She is backed by her sidekick Handy Max and Sam the robot, and together they hunt and gather Treasures and various pieces of Equipment across space.
Space Traders offers and original gallery of animated symbols which are easy to recognise and just a lot of fun to collect. Its innovative gameplay adds to the mix and gives the game an interactive and fast-pace rhythm. And there is more!
Bonus Mode
The Space Junk Bonus game is triggered when you land three or more Space Junk symbols on screen at the end of a turn.
Once the game start, you will be taken to a separate screen where Queen Bea and Handy Max and waiting for you next to a counter laden with five different pieces of interstellar treasure. Choose three of them to add up their individual prices and pocket the total!
Not satisfied with your choice? You can start over again and pick from a new selection of items! You have a maximum of three chances to make the most lucrative choices. So pick wisely!
