Chef Bingo

If you enjoy good food, you’ll love paying a visit to a lively Italian restaurant where it isn’t spicy meat balls served up on the menu, but bingo balls; 32 of them. The free Chef Bingo game provided by nJoy Interactive is bright with good graphics and nice bursts of sound. Although those who prefer to play in silence can choose to mute the sound in the settings at bottom right.

Players can also opt to play in turbo mode to speed up the balls, and there is a help button is on hand for those who are a little unsure of what to do. The credit balance and credit value is also shown along the bottom of the screen as it the total bet placed. As with many bingo video games that can be found in casinos online, the default is usually set at 4 bingo cards or tickets. These can be reduced to just the one, but to maximise winning chances, the more the merrier. Each ticket on Chef Bingo has 3 rows of 5 columns and shows the bet placed plus any wins. For any new players to the game, whatever stake is placed for the base game, it is divided by the number of cards in play.

What's on the Menu?

There are 6 winning formations that are shown at the upper top right of the screen. To the upper left are the games logo and the jackpot meter. To set the tickets to play, clicking on the ticket will add or remove them. There is also an option to change tickets to give a new set of numbers if needed. The betting is very varied for this game starting out at a 1 credit bet for playing with 1 ticket.

The max bet is quite high at 120, although we have seen higher in other games. For the jackpot to be activated, all 4 tickets need to be played in addition to a bet of 3 credits or more per ticket. As the betting is adjusted, the prize values are too. Those high rollers with deep pockets looking to play with real cash will be able to make this game play to their advantage and there is a max bet button included for those wishing to quickly go to the high limits. Moving up and down the credits has a crazy sound accompanying the action which seems a little misplaced so the max bet button cuts that out nicely.

The Main Course

The balls are served up on the plate at the top of the screen and as the play button is clicked, the entire vibrant numbered balls cascade down to rest in two rows at the bottom. As this happens, all the corresponding numbers get marked on the tickets. Wins are shown instantly in purple. Any green numbers flashing are those that are needed to complete other possible win patterns with the prize value shown under the number.

Up to 10 extra balls can be bought, but be warned, some of the prices are steep especially if looking to complete any big wins. This game does come with a bonus which is gained by one of the winning patterns and for this free spin; if extra balls are needed these cost credits to buy. The music when wins are made is really happy and light, but exit button sounds when not choosing extra balls is bleak even when coming away with a win to break even.

Spooky Bingo

If eating all the food that Chef Bingo had to offer leaves you looking to find something a little different, try a spooky theme to provide a bit of amusement with prizes when playing bingo for fun. With free Haunted House bingo, there are 12 winning patterns and 30 numbered balls to roll out and match to the bingo cards. It has a spooky backdrop and when extra balls are needed, they are hidden by flying bats, with an added sound of a ticking clock.

Some of these extras can be wild or multiplier balls. Up to 10 can be bought but there will are occasional free balls included to help make some great payouts possible. Wagers can be from 0.05 at the low end of the scale, and rise up to 60. There's a quirky added bonus game which has players picking to win with spooky portraits to reveal the prize. It’s a nice game of bingo that doesn’t require punters to wait until Halloween to play it.

Compliments to the Chef

When having enjoyed a great meal, it’s customary to tip the waiter and send compliments to the chef. With Chef Bingo, there is plenty to enjoy with the high paying prizes, although we felt that some of the sound effects let the game down a little. The cost of some of the extra balls were also quite high so newbies playing should beware that time is taken to properly assess your game strategy and play to your means so you have something to cash out with.

The company nJoy distribute some really great games, although some are better than others. We found this one to be a nice tasty treat that doesn’t leave a bad taste in the mouth and one worthy of going up for seconds.
