Lost City Slot
Stories of lost civilisations and sunken cities are numerous all around the world, starting with the legend of Atlantis of course.
Lost City uses this famous underwater theme to create an original slot game universe, with a hand-drawn atmosphere characteristic to many Spielo games such as Burning Ocean. Players can expect humour, fun characters, a simple gameplay and of course big wins. No diving suit required, you can enjoy Lost City from the comfort of your own home.
So if you to know more about Lost City and all the options you have to explore its unique universe, stay with us and read our full review of the game.
Dive Deep Under the Surface
It should come as no surprise that Lost City takes place under water, deep under the surface and all the way down to the ocean bed. There, the remains of a long lost civilisation await, filled with many treasures ready to be discovered.
The background shows the bottom of the ocean, with a dominating blue shade and air bubbles making their way up towards the surface. The reels occupy most of the game screen and do not leave much space for other details. Lost City still has a recognisable universe and decent graphics.
The sound effects are also catchy, albeit discreet – perhaps to reflect the overwhelming silence that reigns supreme in the abyss. Overall, Lost City ticks all the boxes you could imagine when thinking about a slot game that takes place underwater. Let’s move on to the gameplay in the next section.
Don’t Get Lost…We’ll Help!
Lost City follows a rather classic gameplay to allow players to start betting right away. If you have played other Spielo games, then you are already familiar with all the game commands. If this is your first, it will not take you long before you are an expert.
The five spinning reels of the game display three symbols each after each turn. There are no paylines available, which implies that winning combinations appearing anywhere on the screen will count and add cash prizes to your credit total. You can use the command buttons at the bottom of the game screen to adjust the coin value and the size of your wager for the next spin.
If you are feeling in luck, hit the Bet Max button to go all-in and maximise your wager with a single click. Or you can use the Autoplay feature to let the reels spin loose for a little while, with a constant bet. You can always come back to single-spin mode and adjust your settings to fit your own strategy.
Waterproof Menu
The paytable of Lost City is entirely inspired by the sunken universe of the game. So let’s dive right into it to try to figure out what kind of icons are expecting you on the reels.
The most common reel symbols are the Octopus, the Shark, the Female Diver and her equivalent from the early 20th (with his unmistakable heavy diving gear), the Captain and the Submarine. These symbols have low payouts, but appear frequently on the reels.
For bigger wins, keep your eyes peeled for the Sunken Ruins, the Amphorae and the Gold Statue. They are rare in Lost City, but are worth a lot of gold, especially without longer winning combinations.
Last Features
To keep things interesting for everyone, Spielo added a few special symbols in Lost City. Stay alert and check out their features to put all chances on your side to win the extra cash they can yield.
The Scatter icon triggers wins regardless of its position on the reels. Two of them award ten Free Spins, and you can even win 25 free games with three Scatters on screen at the end of your turn.
The Quest symbol is your key to Lost City’s Bonus feature. Collect them across your game to accumulate points. When you reach the 4500 point mark, the Quest Bonus is initiated. Explore the ocean bed and collect the ancient artefacts that lie there undisturbed to win some extra cash.
Sunken Cities Bubbling Up to the Top
Lost City follows a standard pattern, with its classic gameplay and Bonuses. The underwater theme is also a classic and overall, the game does not really introduce many original elements, titles like Under the Sea do better.
The cartoon-like graphics are simple but pleasant to look at. But do not be fooled: the stakes are high and this Lost City has many treasures hidden within its walls. You task is to go ahead, fine them, and make them you own.
