Fruits and Music, with Style
Rockin Fruit is an unexpected blend of classic fruit symbols and the universe of rock ‘n’ roll. An unexpected clash of universes, to say the least.
The fun happens on the reels in Rockin Fruits, as the uniformly red background does not add anything to the game universe.
Instead, the fruity reel symbols have been redesigned and are now playing a various array of musical instruments with a lot of class and humour. A simple and original idea that makes Rockin Fruits stand out quite a bit.
Basic Rules
Rockin Fruits has five spinning reels with three symbols on display on each, and 9 paylines running across the screen in all directions. A classic setup, perhaps a bit smaller than you are used to. Let’s look at the actual commands now.
Use the commands located around the reels to adjust your game settings to fit your own strategy. The various switches available let you determine the coin value, the number of activated paylines and the size of your wager itself, naturally. Remember that the rewards will depend on both the nature of the symbols in winning combinations and the amount of cash you put forth in the first place. Feel free to adjust your settings at any time during your gaming session. Hit the Spin button to validate your bet and set the reels into motion.
You can also use the Bet Max command to go all-in with a single click, or the Autoplay feature to let the reels spin loose for as long as you like. You can experiment as much as you like with the gameplay and enjoy the unique universe of Rockin Fruits.
Looking at the Menu
It will come as no surprise now that the reels symbols of Rockin Fruits are indeed fruits, for the most part. With a few extra surprises on top, so do not dismiss the game as just one more fruit-themed slot just yet.
The list of basic symbols comprises the Apple, Bells, Bar Signs, Lemons, Oranges, Plums, Sevens and Watermelons. All are familiar faces for veteran players, but their brand new look is a welcome change to the routine.
To spice things up a little bit for the players, Spielo goes beyond these classic reel symbols and introduces an array of special icons, which we will detail in the next section of the present review.
Bonus Features
The Loudspeaker symbol is the Wild card of Rockin Fruits. Thanks to it, you get an extra chance at scoring winning combinations across the reels, since the Loudspeaker can replace any basic symbol listed above. No questions asked, just some extra cash.
The Gramophone is a Scatter symbol. You can earn money with it regardless of its position on screen, aligned or not. One quick way to earn some extra cash without even trying to.
With three or more Bonus symbols, you get a chance to play one of the Bonus games featured in Rockin Fruits. You can for example spin the Bonus Wheel to trigger a random reward, or try the Bonus Pick to try your luck and perhaps multiply your winnings exponentially.
Rockin Good Fun
Rockin Fruits brings a little originality to a very classic slot game theme, but sticks to the basic of the genre for the most part. Veteran players will appreciate the new design of the symbols, but very little has changed besides this element.
The Bonus games help bring a little excitement to the mix, but Rockin Fruits is overall a classic game with minor aesthetic changes. This will probably come as a bit of a let-down to many potential players, but there is still plenty of fun to be had in Rockin Fruits. The winning possibilities are decent, and the fruits’ new look is just to die for, with all the great graphics seen on other titles such as Formula X.
