Nixterida Slot Machine
If you don’t know Greek then this game’s title will be lost on you, but we’ve gone ahead and looked it up for you to try and help out; t is roughly translated into dream bats. Now before you start thinking that means they’re a symbol of good fortune, you’d be wrong. In fact they’re seen as bad omens referring to suffering and pain. Doesn’t sound too great, so why has Spin Fan made a game all about this particular image from dream interpretation?
Well it seems they’ve done this to try and add some positivity back into the word, and they do a good job of doing it with the way this slot machine plays, look and feels. Consisting of 9 tiles inside 3 reels made up of 8 paylines is where all of the action takes place, which makes it a very unique game format wise.
A Mixed Omen
We’ve only dubbed it a mixed omen because of the fact that this bat is so cute it can’t possibly be anything bad, and if it is we don’t think we’d mind because we’d get sucked in by the adorableness of these reels.
However, while everything looks as cute as a button, most of the icons don’t make any sense whatsoever – there’s a kangaroo, a lion, a wolf, and a pink flower that we’ve seen in another of Spin Fan’s games. As you can see, it feels more like the brand has just lumped any old imagery together in order to release a new game, cynical though it may sound.
Luckily though, as if to save the day, the bat does make an appearance and will bring you x80 of your bet if you discover three of them flapping about on the reels. However, when scatter wins come into play, that amount can climb much, much higher, provided a total of 9 of these winged rats can be uncovered. While that feels kinda weird already, Nixterida then steps it up once again thanks to the kangaroo being part of the max jackpot payout… We’ll just leave you with that thought. Weird, isn’t it?
If you want to get your hands on plenty more multipliers, as if you actually needed any more of them, then you’ll get them when one whole picture dominates every inch of the reels, in this particular title it’s a bat. Surprise surprise. When this does happen you will get a random amount of spins and multipliers applied, and then the counter will decrease after every spin is made.
That is about the barebones of what to expect when you’re playing this game. There are no other bonus features to its name which makes it a very low variance title, and then there is hardly any volatility to it either which makes it even less appealing. And you thought that wasn’t even possible at this point.
Free of Nightmares
The cost of this activity is very low once you figure out the monetary worth of that 64 starting bet; 1 credit adds up to a very low total of 0.01 which means that 64 coins, valued at that same amount across 8 paylines, won’t be any more than 0.64. Players need to only tap the minus and plus icons to crank the amount up or drop it down, which makes it very simple indeed.
You can’t set any paylines so it would seem that this is a fixed paylines slot machine, though there is nothing that can either confirm or deny this reasoning. Nor is there any way to see how the lines fall other than when you place a bet, and that is only fleeting, so if you forget it’s tough luck to you.
The autoplay option is a great addition to this slot machine as it means you can stop clicking away and can slurp that coffee while you watch all those rewards add up, which sounds like a sweet deal to us. They start spinning the moment you select the widget, but they end just as easily, making it even more convenient.
A Turn off
Nixterida, as well as being a mouthful, is a disappointing slot machine from Spin Fan that we want to turn off from the very second we started playing. We know some of you out there will appreciate its ‘uniqueness’, but we don’t fall into that category.
That being said, we hope you’ve found this guide helpful, whether you ended up playing or not.
