Fruit Slot
Fruit is a 5-reel video slot with 15 paylines from Tom Horn Gaming. Fruit is an excellently designed game with realistic symbols and several special features such as wild symbols, a scatter feature, and a bonus game that awards players 5 chances to win extra credits.
Fruity Symbols
Not surprisingly at all, Fruit uses various fruit symbols through its impressive interface. The highest paying regular symbol is the pineapple, followed by the watermelon, orange, lemon, apple, plums, strawberries, and cherries. These fruit symbols are very well designed and look almost photo realistic.
The kiwi serves as this game’s bonus symbol. When players land a kiwi bonus symbol on the first and fifth reel, a bonus game activates. In this game, there are 30 bundles of grapes on the screen for players to choose five sets from, that contain random amounts of hidden credits. But beware – some are rotten and have nothing.
A fruit cocktail symbol is the game’s scatter symbol. Hitting 3 of these fruit cocktail symbols on an active payline awards players with either 7, 15, or 30 Free Spins with a very juicy 3x multiplier. This game also has a nice feature in the fact that players can win the bonus game in the free spin feature. Many other slots make any bonus games off limits if they are won during a free spin feature.
The Fruit platter is the wild symbol in this game. The wild fruit platter can substitute for any of the other symbols to complete a winning combination on any of the 15 paylines.
Card Gamble
Any player that spins a win in Fruit Video Slots will have the option of playing a game for a chance to double or nothing the win for that current spin. In the gamble feature, a playing card pops up on the screen with a red and black button. Players simply have to select which color they think the card will be out of the two options. If correct the win is doubled, if incorrect all credits won for that spin is lost. You can gamble your winnings multiple times until the gamble limit is reached, but the pay table does not say how many times this is.
The gamble feature is completely optional, of course. Will you take the risk?
Fruit Volatility
The volatility of Fruit is high, which means that the player return on investment is smaller for those who bet with lower amounts as opposed to those who risk the maximum bets.
What About the Graphics?
Fruit is very well designed and the symbols look almost realistic. The colour scheme is very vibrant and lends itself well to a fruit focused theme. All of the symbols also fit well within the theme, which is also always a plus to the playing experience.
The game also has a nice layout which seems to be the case in all of the Tom Horn series of video slots. All of the buttons are clear and concise and in a handy grouping at the bottom of the page. The pay table could have been a designed a little better as it kind of hard to read the way it is laid out. The pay table would have been much easier to read had all the winning symbols been listed in column format, instead of centered and stacked. But, this really is not a big issue as players will still be able to understand the pay table.
Easy to Swallow Fruit
Fruit Video Slots by Tom Horn Gaming is a very well-constructed game that players will enjoy. The bonus features of this game are very captivating, especially the bonus game which gives players five chances to pick a bundle of grapes for some potentially huge wins.
Players will also enjoy the fruit platter wild symbol in the games as it appears to hit a little more than most other games
The colour scheme of the game is awesome and the graphics look almost good enough to eat. The vibrant colour of the games background work nicely with the colours of the fruit symbols
The only real downside to this game is the high volatility rate. Even though the volatility of this game is higher than other offerings, the chance to play a game this well-built, coupled with the chance to win some serious prizes, makes this a must-play game in our books.
